This is based on a childhood experience when my brother, sister and I discovered that fish love caramel popcorn when we gave some to the fish at the zoo. The outcome from my mom was not as positive as James' is here as she was angry and scolded us because feeding the animals was not allowed.

Oh, childhood experiments! XD Though I think trying to fish with gummy worms would be better than just-about any of mine. I think the last one of mine was when, as a teenager, I tried barking back at dogs. XD I stopped after I nearly gave a tiny terrier a heart attack because I could match the timbre of a very, very big dog! I couldn't bear to scare a dog that badly again.

Ha ha! We've all done stuff as kids. I do wonder... would fish actually be more enticed by jelly worms than actual ones?

If we have any anglers in the audience, I too would like to know. For science!

I'm sure it depends on the species of fish. I'm not an angler, but I've learned that some species are caught with a "fly" which is bright and fluttery but not tasty at all; it's not even edible. Others, I don't know. They might like the sweet taste in the water, or they might like the way the gummy worm wiggles or catches the light, or they might not. Someone ought to make the experiment for science! XD They could even try different sweets. Hmm, I wonder if some fish would like the gelatin rather than the sugar or the other flavours.

I would definitely love to see it if it was ever done.
